WAVELLITE CRYSTALS

Wavellite forms spherical, radiating aggregates of crystals which, when seen in section, are extremely attractive.

Wavellite was first discovered at High Down Quarry in Devon where it occurs lining joints in black, cherty slate.

This specimen is from an old collection.
