The London Clay was laid down on the floor of a subtropical sea and creatures that lived in this sea have been beautifully preserved as fossils.
These vertebrae from extinct bony fish are from the London Clay cliffs on the north coast of the Isle of Sheppey. They were collected from the beach in the 1980s.
They are beautifully preserved and mostly with no wear or damage. Presented in a plastic display box.
