THE AMMONITES: THEIR LIFE AND THEIR WORLD

By Ulrich Lehmann

(Second hand copy)

A classic book on ammonites and the only book on the subject until the Natural History Museum published their book Ammonites by Neale Monks and Philip Palmer in 2002.

Although Monks and Palmer's book is more up to date, it is limited in scope and addressed to the general reader.  This book has more detail and is therefore essential reading for anyone who collects and is seriously interested in these beautiful and intriguing fossils.

Published by Cambridge University Press in 1981. Black and white photographs and illustrations throughout.
Hardback. 246 pages.

Reasonable condition. Skuff marks to the edges and spine but a good clean copy.
