STEREO MICROSCOPE
(SECOND HAND)

Fixed x20 magnification.
Very good condition.

An excellent beginner's microscope (model DM2) ideal for examining the detail of natural objects such as fossils and crystals. It is a stereo microscope which means that there are two eyepieces (the lenses closest to your eyes) and two objectives (the lenses closest to the object you are viewing). This gives the user a 3D image which is considerably better than microscopes with a single eyepiece.  The eyetubes have an independent focussing ability.

This microscope has x10 magnification eyepieces and a pair of x2 magnification objectives, giving a total magnification of x20. This magnification could be extended to x30 and x40 by purchasing additional eyepieces which are available for this model from on-line microscope suppliers.

This microscope does not come with any lighting but LED spotlights suitable for use with microscopes are nowadays readily available from lighting suppliers.

Particularly recommended for observing tiny insects in amber.
