ORIGINAL SHARE CERTIFICATE (1934)
Second hand item
(framed and in good condition)
South Crofty is probably the most famous of all the Cornish mines. It is a very ancient mine, with mining of copper and tin here dating back nearly 400 years. Like other Cornish metal mines South Crofty's fortunes went into decline in the 1980s and the mine was closed in 1998. Since then there have been various plans to reopen the mine.
This share certificate is dated 1934 and has been cancelled with three stamps. It is presented under glass in a wooden frame. It can be hung on the wall.
