M25 Roadworks, South Mimms,
near Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
During construction of the M25 motorway in 1984 transparent crystals of gypsum (selenite) were found in the London Clay close to what is now the South Mimms motorway services.
We have only a very limited number of these crystals in stock. They are from an old collection and only a few crystals were found by the collector at the time.
These are attractive and undamaged groups of crystals from an unusual locality.
