This dome-shaped Echinocorys is complete and well-preserved. It is from an old collection and was collected in the 1980s. A gorgeous fossil.
Sea urchins, or echinoids, are marine creatures with shells covered in spines, which became detached when the animal died. Fossils of the sea urchin Micraster can be found in the Chalk of southern England.
