« backSCHALENBLENDE
Pomorzany Mine, Olkusz, Poland
A small polished slice of 'schalenblende', an unusual combination of minerals from Poland.
Schalenblende typically consists of alternating bands of brown-yellow sphalerite, wurtzite and marcasite with lustrous silver galena. It is particularly attractive when cut and polished.
It is polished on one side only and presented in a glass-fronted gemstone box.
