REPLICA OF A FOSSIL TRILOBITE PRESERVED IN A NODULE
« backREPLICA OF A FOSSIL TRILOBITE PRESERVED IN A NODULE
A fun replica of a fossil trilobite preserved within a nodule. Ordovician trilobite fossils from Morocco are often preserved in this way.
Hard nodules from the Atlas Mountains are cracked open to reveal the 'part' and 'counterpart' of the fossil (positive and negative). The two halves can be refitted together.
The replica is made of a hard grey plastic and is virtually indestructible, so it would be useful for teaching purposes.
Size: 7.5 x 5.5 x 4 centimetres
(whole nodule when reassembled)
Weight: 96 grams
