A rare Cretaceous ammonite from Germany.
In Early Cretaceous times the NW German Basin formed the southernmost extension of the North Sea Basin. The marine sediments of Valanginian age in this basin are widespread and contain many fossil species, but this species of ammonite is rare and unusual.
Size: approx. 7.5 x 6 x 5 centimetres
Weight: 310 grams
