Quartz naturally forms six-sided crystals with pyramid-like ends called ‘terminations’. Transparent crystals of pure quartz are known as ‘rock crystal’.
This is a lovely bed of quartz crystals from Brazil. Some crystals contain 'phantom' inclusions of chlorite.
