Tiny, green, curved crystals of pyromorphite-mimetite on quartz. An attractive specimen from this classic UK mineral locality.
Mimetite and pyromorphite are both lead minerals but with increasing phosphate content mimetite grades insensibly into pyromorphite. When elements in a group of minerals vary like this it is known as a mineral series.
