PIECE OF A MAMMOTH TUSK

10,000 to 40,000 years old

From the permafrost in Yakutia, Siberia

Frozen carcasses of mammoths are often revealed by the melting permafrost in Northern Siberia. The tusks are beautifully preserved and used for carving, mostly in China.

This is an offcut from carving and is a genuine piece of mammoth tusk. Presented in an acrylic display box.
