This bone is part of the bony armour of an ankylosaurian dinosaur, thought to be Polacanthus foxii. Alternatively, it may belong to the recently named dinosaur Vectipelta barretti.
The Wessex Formation (part of the Wealden Group) on the Isle of Wight is dominated by dinosaurs and is one of the most important dinosaur sites in Europe.Presented in a round vintage glass museum display box.
