LEAD MINING IN THE PEAK DISTRICT

(second hand copy)

By Trevor D. Ford and J. H. Rieuwerts

First edition (reprinted 1970)

The Peak District of Derbyshire is famous for its minerals. It is also a beautiful part of England. The minerals occur in ore bodies which have been mined for thousands of years and the landscape is rich in the remains of disused mines.

Despite its age, this book is a classic guide to the mines of the area and is still of value to mine historians and mineral collectors.

Published by the Peak Park Planning Board. Spine and cover slightly scuffed and faded. Otherwise in reasonable condition.

Soft cover. 127 pages. Black and white photographs, maps and diagrams throughout.

Size: 22 x 13 centimetres
Weight: 214 grams

PRICE: £4.00
