JURASSIC DINOSAUR (SAUROPOD)
150 million years old
Abingdon, Oxfordshire
A vertebra of a dinosaur that was found in an Oxfordshire gravel pit in the 1980s. It probably originated in the Kimmeridge Clay and was transported to this part of Oxfordshire during the Ice Age in the gravels of the early River Thames.
It is solidly fossilised and a heavy item. A very fine example of a dinosaur vertebra in gorgeous condition.
