JURASSIC AMMONITE
Androgynoceras

190 million years old

Lower Lias.   Green Ammonite Beds
Golden Cap, near Charmouth, Dorset

A good specimen of a classic Jurassic ammonite preserved in a nodule.  The ammonite has been skillfully prepared to reveal it while retaining the shape of the original nodule in which it was found.

The Androgynoceras nodules of the Charmouth coast are well known.
