JURASSIC AMMONITE

165 million years old

Middle Callovian Limestone
St. Laon, near Thouars, France

A lovely example of a Jurassic ammonite, skilfully prepared from the pale Jurassic limestone in which it was entombed. This is a really beautiful little specimen that would make a great ornament.

Ammonites are extinct marine shellfish that were common during the age of the dinosaurs.
