(Second hand copy in very good condition)
Jade is the common name for a fine-grained rock which has been used for carving and as a gemstone for thousands of years. It is made up of interlocking crystals which make it a very tough rock. The name jade has actually been given to two different rocks: jadeite and nephrite.
This is a beautiful book covering jade throughout the world. It is large format and weighs nearly 2.5 kilograms. It is packed with gorgeous colour photos.
Published by Lorenz Books. 1995. Hardback with dust jacket. 376 pages. Colour photographs and maps throughout. Very good condition but the dust jacket has minor tears at the edges.
