ICE AND FIRE: WATERCOLOUR DIARIES OF VOLCANO JOURNEYS

By Tony Foster

(Second hand copy in very good condition)

Tony Foster is an English watercolour artist that doesn't use photography or sketches but paints on site, in some of the World's greatest mountains, deserts and wildernesses.

This attractive booklet showcases over 20 of his beautiful paintings of volcanoes, together with extracts from his diaries. It was published to coincide with an exhibition of his watercolours of volcanoes that began at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter, in 1998 and finished in San Francisco in 1999.

With an introduction by Stephen Sparks, professor of geology at Bristol University.

A fascinating book, linking art and geology.

Published by the author in association with the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter. 1998.
