HEMATITE ON BARITE - Strathclyde, Scotland
« backHEMATITE ON BARITE
Mannoch Hill, Lesmahagow,
Strathclyde, Scotland
An excellent example of botryoidal hematite on barite. This is a very fine large cabinet specimen of hematite from an unusual locality.
The hematite from Mannoch Hill occurs in veins of barite that cut through Silurian and Devonian rocks.
