A gorgeous piece of waterworn dinosaur bone from the beach on the coast of the Isle of Wight. It originates from rock strata in the cliffs known as the Wessex Formation (part of the Wealden Group).
It is solidly fossilised and heavy for its size and has a glossy patina. It has indentations which may be tooth marks.
Size: approx. 12 x 8 x 4.5 centimetres
Weight: 549 grams
