GEOLOGY OF THE BUCKINGHAM DISTRICT
A brief explanation of the area covered by geological map Sheet 219

New copy

By M. G. Sumbler

The British Geological Survey have produced these 'Sheet Explanations' to describe the geology of newly-surveyed 1:50,000 scale geological maps. They are effectively short guides to the geology of the area covered by the map.

The Buckingham geological map includes the towns of Bicester, Buckingham, Brackley and part of Milton Keynes.

These sheet explanations are only brief (in this case 34 pages) but they are packed with information and colour photographs.  They are written in a technical style so are not suitable for those with no previous knowledge of geology.

A5 booklet with soft cover. 34 pages. Full colour photos and illustrations. Published by the British Geological Survey. 2002.
