GEMSTONES

By Christine Woodward and Roger Harding

(Softback)

(Second hand copy in very good condition)

This booklet, published by the Natural History Museum, is an excellent little guide to gemstones with beautiful colour photographs.

Chapters on history, rarity, durability, crystal structure, colour, cutting and polishing, inclusions, where gems are found, and a double page map of gem deposits of the World. Although it was published in 1987, we don't know of a better introduction to the subject.

Softback. 60 pages. Published by the Natural History Museum, London. 1987. Colour photos throughout. Very good condition.
