'Gems' magazine was a popular British lapidary magazine published from 1969 until the mid 1980s. It is packed with information about gems, minerals and fossils and the collecting sites that were accessible at the time.

  
The magazine was produced at a time when collecting and polishing stones was at its most popular and these magazines are a snapshot of the hobby at the time, especially with the adverts for British made lapidary equipment and the dozens of mineral shops around the UK.
  
This batch of magazines consists of most of the issues from this period, and includes the rare first issue. Only about a dozen are missing.
