Blackdene Mine, Ireshopeburn, Stanhope, County Durham
Modified galena crystals from the well known Blackdene Mine in the Northern Pennines.
Galena is the main ore of lead. This specimen is from an old collection, probably collected when the mine was working in the 1980s.
