A cut and polished slice of a fossilised tree trunk from Oregon. Polished on one side. The tree rings are visible.
The wood has been completely 'petrified' - all the living tissue has literally been turned to stone, in this case the mineral quartz.
This is a gorgeous slice with a mirror polish. Presented in a lidded gift box.
