This fossil consists of a cut and polished section of fossilised wood - in this case the end of the log.

Fossilised wood from Zimbabwe is not colourful but it is beautiful, with great preservation of detail and subtle grey and dark green colouration.

This item makes a great display piece and sits well without the need for a stand.
