Green River Shales, Wyoming, U.S.A.
Along the present-day Green River in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah, beautifully preserved fossil fish are found in a layer of fine-grained limestone within shale.
They are natural works of art. The limestone was formed at the bottom of a lake that existed in the Eocene period, when this part of the U.S.A. had a wet, tropical climate.
This is a gorgeous slab with two fossil fish. It's a lovely piece that is available with an optional stand for display.
