The delivery cost includes postage and packing. Rocks and fossils are heavy items and so we have tried to keep these costs to a minimum. At the moment we only deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom. Please contact us if you have any queries about delivery charges.

Delivery within the UK

Delivery costs are based on the total weight of your order which will be calculated when you reach the checkout. Therefore if you are considering ordering more than one item it would be advantageous to order them all at the same time.

You will be able to see the delivery charge and the total cost of your order before you reach the payment stage. Delivery charges are calculated automatically by the website software but if you feel that the amount charged is excessive please get in touch and we will look into it.

Orders are sent by Royal Mail or by Parcelforce, and usually as recorded delivery. A signature will therefore be required on receipt. Some low value items are sent unrecorded but with proof of postage.

An approximate guide to delivery charges is as follows:

Up to 2 kg:     £3.50  
(for most lower value books the charge is £2.50 and for some small books and low value items this has been reduced to as little as £2)
2 kg to 3 kg:     £8
3 kg to 5 kg:    £12
5kg to 10kg:    £15

Delivery outside the UK

At the present time we only deliver to UK addresses. However, if you are an overseas customer and interested in any of our products please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Delivery time

We normally despatch items within two working days from receipt of your order, but please allow up to 10 days for delivery. If you require an item urgently please contact us and we will be pleased to help. 

We want our customers to be happy with their purchases.  If, for any reason, you are not happy with the goods you have received they can be returned within 14 days of receiving them for a full refund.  If the item is not as decribed on our website, or is damaged, we will also refund the cost of return postage (see below).  For full details of our returns policy please see our Terms and Conditions elsewhere on this website.

We make every effort to securely wrap items for delivery but if any item you receive is damaged please contact us immediately (within two days) for a replacement or a full refund.  We would ask for return of the damaged item to us or a photograph in the case of low value items.
