An attractive piece of celestite with numerous crystals visible in cavities.
Celestite is the main ore of Strontium. Strontium makes flames burn bright red and is therefore used in fireworks and warning flares.
Celestite is a heavy mineral. This piece is solid celestite and is consequently very heavy for its size, weighing nearly a kilogram.
