Bowenite is a hard, compact rock in the serpentine group. It is classed as a semi-precious gemstone. It has been used for tools, weapons and jewellery. Deposits are found in several places around the world. It typically ranges in colour from dark green to light olive green.
This is a good example, polished on two sides with a natural surface.
