Botallack is one of the most famous mines in Cornwall, if not in the World. It is set amongst spectacular coastal scenery just a few miles north of Lands End. The now ruined engine houses on the cliffs are a famous tourist attraction.
It was a very rich tin and copper mine, but had closed by the end of the nineteenth century.
