Rastellum is a genus of fossil bivalve of striking appearance that lived from the Middle Jurassic to the Upper Cretaceous. These oysters had a narrow-valved, tubular shell, which was composed of regularly alternating sharp ridges and deep folds.
This fossil is solidly preserved in calcite and has been partially polished
