A beautiful, natural, cut and polished agate. This is a thick slice, polished on one side.
Agate is an extremely attractive variety of quartz that slowly crystallised in concentric layers within gas bubbles inside basalt lava. Brazil produces the largest number of agates in the world and these come from the enormous 130 million year old Paraná lava plateau.
