The peak of Buachaille Etive Mòr in Glen Coe, Scotland on the cover of the GA calendar. The mountains here consist of andesite and rhyolite lavas dating from about 420 million years ago when this valley was the site of a catastrophic volcanic eruption and a caldera some 10 kilometres in diameter.
